EASTERN NUTRITION IN DENVER, CO
Nourishment for All of Who You Are
Eating healthy but still feel “off”?
Food is medicine, and there’s more to nutrition than you’ve been told. You’re doing all the right things but still feel drained by 10am. Maybe your hands and feet are freezing, no matter the season. Perhaps your reactive digestive system is causing you to dread your next meal. No matter how “clean” you eat, your menstrual cycle seems to be working against you.
Eastern Nutrition guides you to relearn how you view your food. We don’t focus on calories and counting macros but instead on guiding you to a completely different way to understand your food. Food is fuel, and when we work with the natural energetics of it, it becomes medicine.
How is Eastern Nutrition Different?
Our knowledgeable and dedicated care team will support you as we gently shift how you understand your body and food.
In Classical Chinese Medicine, every food carries an energetic quality, warming (yang) or cooling (yin), moving or building, drying or moisture-producing. Unlike Western Nutrition, these properties are independent of calories or what it says on the nutrition label.
For example, think of a chili pepper with its heat-producing ability and a watermelon’s natural way of cooling you off on a hot day. Even though you may not have the language for it, your body already knows this. And so often, the way we eat compounds the effects of chronic issues, digestion, depletion, exhaustion, or dehydration.
Our capsule treatment approach coordinates Eastern Nutrition with acupuncture, cupping, Qi Going, bodywork, Classical Chinese Medicine, therapy, herbs, and the rest of an individualized plan so no part of you is ever treated in isolation.
We Begin by Adding, Not Taking Away
So many of our clients come in asking, “Will I have to give up all my favorite foods!?”
We deeply understand the psychology of food as one of the most emotionally charged parts of life. Eastern Nutrition asks of you gently to let go of beliefs around what’s healthy. No matter which nutritional philosophy you’re coming from, this can be a challenge!
At Ren Den, we start by adding, not taking away. Gentle swaps and observations that will help you start your day with more ease, comfort, and vitality. We take it day by day and assess energy levels, symptoms, and changes in the body, guiding you to small, accessible changes made slowly over time. Your body already knows health and wellness; we’re helping it remember.

FAQ About Eastern Nutrition at Ren Denver
-
No. Eastern Nutrition isn't about deprivation or elimination. It's about balance and building slowly. Many clients keep the foods they love and add healing, restorative options alongside them, especially when they're depleted, exhausted, or experiencing unwanted issues.
-
Not in the way most people think of one! There's no regimented nutrition plan or calorie counting. It's a different lens for understanding what your body actually needs, built around energetics rather than restriction.
-
You may already be eating healthy and have good habits in place. Conventional "healthy eating" focuses on macronutrients and calories. Eastern Nutrition is about energetics and how the body interacts with the foods we ingest. We guide you to determine whether or not foods are warming or cooling, building or moving, and how they interact with what your body needs right now. This is an entirely different way to view your food and leads you to feeling lasting wellness, balance, and nourishment.
